Well we are finally Mr. and Mrs. Trent Godsey! I can't believe I'm actually saying that! We have already been married just a few days over a month and I haven't had time to update this blog. I will have to do it in sections. All I can say is married life is WONDERFUL! We are enjoying our lives together and learning more and more about one another every day. Its not always easy but if you are married you know exactly what I'm talking about. The wedding was everything I hoped it would be and more. I would do it all over again exactly the same way! The only thing I would change is I would have a voice. My voice was completely gone the whole day of the wedding which made it difficult to say my vows. I had some vows for Trents girls too and I don't think everyone could understand what I was saying but the girls heard me and thats all that really matters. I will def be putting up pictures soon! I love my life and I love my husband! My new family is amazing and I couldnt ask for more.

UPDATE!

Well I finally got invitations sent out! It took all of 2 days but its finally coming together! Bought the sparklers for the "escape" after the reception! Even though we aren't going far. We are staying at Elmwood Gardens in the romantic suite! ooh la la! Even has a hot tub on the back porch!

Not much at all left to do but little things here and there! Its 3 weeks and 6 days away!! I'm so excited about the bachelorette party! It will be on Thursday night the night before the big day! Thank you so much Laura for putting it all together! Who knows what she has in store but I know its going to be a fun night!

Wedding Showers!

The first bridal shower was on Sunday April 19th at 3pm. It was hosted by Kelly Hobbs (a friend of mine) and Brenda Watson (my momma). We had a great turn out and got LOTS of goodies! A few pics below!

The second Shower was the same day April 19th at 7pm. Trent was at this one and it was put on by my Mom's Sunday school class. We were so excited to see everyone!

The photographer

The Couple!

Trent Godsey is a 27 year old from Whitehouse. He currently works for Watson Commercial Construction (my dad's company). Trent has been married before and has 2 beautiful daughters Morgan (5), and Hailey (3). Trent's previous marriage ended after 7 years, and shortly after it ended, we started dating. We were introduced by mutual friends Christina and Will. We saw each other at a party and we were each with someone else. It was obvious we weren't happy with who we were with and we were immediately attracted to eachother. I made the comment to my friend "he's gorgeous! let me know if he ever gets a divorce" (jokingly). And a couple months later, what do you know?!? She told him what I had said and he was eager to talk to me too because we were eyeing each other before at the party. First, it was supposed to be just a casual fling sort of thing. We were both getting out of relationships but soon we found that it was much more than that. Trent said I love you after just a week of dating! Yes it seems kind of soon but he "just knew!". And the rest is history!!!!! We fell in love and have been together since! We have been together since September 24 2007. I am a Registered Nurse at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital, where I take care of gynecology pts, and medical-surgical patients. I work nights which is going to change soon so I can see Trent more often, especially after the wedding! BOW CHICKA WOW WOW. I am so excited to become a step mom and we are going to try to have kids of our own to build our family! We are both very excited to begin this wonderful journey together and we both couldn't be happier!

The Rings!

My ring is a 1 Carat TDW emerald cut white gold with pave set diamonds around it from Kay Jewelers. I wanted something flat because I'm a nurse and I want to be able to slip the gloves on and off without snagging them. This ring is PERFECT! I am still in love with it! We decided not to get a band to go with it because it would throw the symmetry off and i'm all about symmetry.

His ring is a tungsten band from Kay Jewelers.

We are going on a Western Caribbean Cruise out of Galveston on the Carnival Conquest! We will leave Sunday May 24th and head to Montego Bay Jamaica, Cozumel, and Grand Cayman!!! We plan to swim with the stingrays, climb ochos rios waterfalls in Jamaica, Ride a lift up a mountain and bobsled down the mountain! In Cozumel we are going to do a four-wheeler adventure tour!

I'm SOOO excited! This is the BEST PART!
